Pocket Star (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the mobile game Mahjong Musketeer Legend (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the App, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Summary

• The App is primarily an offline single-player / vs-CPU game. Story progress and settings are stored on your device.
• We use Google AdMob to show ads (including interstitial and rewarded ads) and may use advertising identifiers.
• We use Google Firebase (for example Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand stability and usage in aggregate.
• Optional purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not receive your full payment card details.
• We do not require you to create an account or provide your name or email to play.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your device settings and region, the App and its SDKs may process:

2.1 Information from your device / Google services

• Advertising ID (e.g. Google Advertising ID) and related ad signals
• Device and app information such as device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and coarse network information (e.g. IP address)
• Diagnostics such as crash logs, performance data, and approximate device state at the time of a crash
• Usage analytics such as session counts, screen/feature interaction events, and engagement metrics (in aggregate form where possible)
• Ad interaction data such as ad impressions, clicks, and reward completion for rewarded ads

2.2 Information we do not intentionally collect

• Your real name, postal address, or phone number
• Photos, contacts, microphone, or precise GPS location (the App does not request these permissions for gameplay)
• A Pocket Star account login (the App does not provide user accounts)

Ads shown by AdMob may be based on topics or signals determined by Google according to your Google account / device ad settings. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the App
• To show advertisements and measure ad performance
• To deliver rewarded-ad benefits inside the game when you choose to watch an ad
• To analyze crashes and usage so we can fix bugs and improve balance / UX
• To process and restore eligible in-app purchases via Google Play
• To comply with law and enforce our terms or store policies

4. Third-party services (AdMob & Firebase)

We use Google services that may collect and process data under their own policies. Their processing is governed by Google, not solely by Pocket Star.

5. In-app purchases

Optional in-app purchases (for example removing interstitial ads or continue tickets) are billed through Google Play. Payment details are handled by Google. We may receive purchase tokens / entitlement status needed to unlock features on your device. Refunds and payment disputes are handled under Google Play’s policies.

6. Local game data

Save files, settings, language preference, and similar gameplay data are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data usually deletes this local data. Local save data is not uploaded to Pocket Star servers as part of normal offline play.

7. Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to operate the App:

• With Google (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play) as described above
• If required by law, regulation, or legal process
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where permitted by law

We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

8. Retention & security

Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data processed by Google AdMob / Firebase is retained according to Google’s retention practices and our Firebase / AdMob project configuration. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a consumer mobile game, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your choices & rights

• Ads personalization: You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (e.g. Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization), and via Google’s ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com/.
• Notifications / permissions: You can revoke optional OS permissions in system settings.
• Purchases: Manage subscriptions or request refunds through Google Play where applicable.
• Access / deletion: Because we do not run a user account system, most player progress lives only on-device. For privacy requests related to data held by Google SDKs, contact us and we will help where we can, or point you to Google’s tools.

Depending on your region (for example EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. International transfers

Google may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. If you use the App outside those regions, your information may be transferred internationally as described in Google’s privacy documentation.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy, unless applicable law requires additional consent.
